Overview
Many capable local businesses have a site that is slow, hard to update, or invisible in local search. Blacksburg Online fixes that with a small, repeatable system: a fast static build, clear information architecture, and the few SEO moves that actually move local rankings.
The emphasis is on ongoing support — owners don't want a handoff document, they want someone to keep the listing, the site, and the phone ringing aligned.
What we deliver
Each engagement starts from a short audit — speed, mobile, business profile, citations, and the top three searches that should drive calls. Then a focused build or rework that owners can actually maintain.
01 — Build
Fast static site, clean IA, contact-forward — no heavy CMS unless needed.
02 — Local SEO
Profile, categories, citations, on-page for the 3–5 terms that matter.
03 — Content
Photography direction, short copy, and update workflow the owner will use.
04 — Ongoing
Monthly checks: speed, index, reviews, and calls — with a one-page report.
Process
Week 1 — Audit. Crawl, speed test, profile check, and a 1-page finding sheet.
Week 2 — Build. IA, build, content, and QA on real devices.
Week 3 — Launch & listings. Deploy, wire analytics, sync Business Profile and citations.
Ongoing — 30-minute monthly review: what changed, what to post, what to fix. Owners get a single log, not a dashboard.
Builds — images & artifacts
Replace placeholders with real builds. Two formats are ready: a side-by-side before/after and a 2-up gallery for detail shots.
Export screenshots at ~1600×1000, keep the mono caption style, and swap each .ph / .ba-body for an <img>.
Results
Add 2–3 short, concrete outcomes when you have them — e.g., “from page 2 to top-3 for ‘[term]’ in 6 weeks,” or “form fills +40% after IA change.” Keep it one line per outcome; the table does the rest.
